THE ROLEWe’re on the lookout for a detail-driven, proactive, and highly organised Payroll Assistant to keep our payroll process smooth, accurate, and on time. You’ll be a key player in ensuring our teams across multiple venues get paid correctly and on time while handling everything from payroll queries to compliance with UK payroll legislation. Almost exclusively remote working but with flexibility to travel to London when required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing multiple payrolls from start to finish (starters, leavers, holiday pay, pensions, benefits).
- Ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, RTI submissions, P45s, P60s, and auto-enrolment legislation.
- Running payroll calculations, generating payslips, and reporting from our HRIS and Workforce Management system.
- Handling payroll queries with a friendly and professional approach.
- Supporting venue managers with technical training related to payroll.
- Keeping everything confidential and compliant while working to tight deadlines.
What you’ll bring:
- Ideally at least 2 years' experience in payroll – within hospitality/retail or a multi-site business.
- Strong Excel skills and payroll knowledge are a must!
- A keen eye for detail – you spot errors before they happen.
- Confidence in working autonomously and making informed decisions.
- Experience with Harri is a bonus!
