Position: Human Resources Business Partner
SUMMARY
Executes the company's Human Resources initiatives, by serving as the key contact for Human Resources with the region and partnering with restaurant management toward achieving goals. Manages employee relations concerns, internal investigations, legal compliance, and Human Resources related training activities for the assigned region.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports weekly HR activity for the region to HR clerk and processes activity changes in payroll system
Reviews and analyzes HR reports and payroll reports for accuracy
Reviews payroll reports to ensure all personnel changes were completed and sends necessary corrections to payroll prior to approval of payroll for the region
Front line contact on all employee relations calls and employee visits for the region.
Conducts field investigations and reports all findings to Human Resources Director and Region Director of Operations
Coach and counsel District Managers and Restaurant Management staff in areas of Human Resources, performance improvement and legal/employment issues
Conducts exit interviews on all voluntary terminations at the field management level
Performs annual Human Resources audits for each restaurant in the region
Responds to the Ethics Hotline complaints through required investigation, follow-up, note taking, documentation and entering data in the company's Ethics Hotline software
Responds to Employee complaints through required investigation, follow-up and documentation. Works with Director of HR and legal for completion and resolution
Responds to regional needs by supporting the Regional Director of Operations with training and consultation when needed
Assists corporate recruiting team and District Managers with the staffing, recruitment, selection and onboarding of management
Assists corporate recruiting team and staffing specialists with staffing, recruitment, selection and onboarding of restaurant hourly team members
Participates in Special HR projects as assigned
KEY INTERFACES
On a frequent basis will interface with Region Director/Sr. District Manager of Operations, District Managers, Restaurant Managers (GMS, AGMs and AMs), Human Resources/Training Staff, Recruitment team, legal counsel and staffing agencies.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the Chief People and Culture Officer with a dotted line to Region Director/Sr. District Manager of Operations

Good communication skills including considerable skills in interviewing techniques

Able to prioritize and exercise good judgment in dealing with multiple tasks
Extensive knowledge of all company policies and procedures and of personnel policies and procedures and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
Ability to establish quick rapport and trust with all levels of the organization
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Requires Bachelor’s Degree and two years’ experience (restaurant, hospitality or retail preferred) or high school diploma with at least five (5) years progressive Human Resources experience.
Familiar with employee relations concepts, practices and procedures in the restaurant/hospitality/retail industries
Strong organizational skills with ability to follow-up on details.
Good computer skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Bilingual - English/Spanish (preferred, but not required).
