Job Title: Dishwasher/ Meal Prep
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 an hour
Job Status: Part-time & Full-time
Reports To: Executive Chef
Prepared by: Regional Manager
Job Descriptions - Dishwasher:
Responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately.
Dishwasher – Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
Load and unload dishwashing machines
Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate China)
Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
Set up workstations before meal prep begins
Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
Remove garbage regularly
Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
Cleaning of restaurant areas when necessary
Meal Prep- Duties and Responsibilities:
Prep ingredients before meal service
Carefully prepare food according to menu specifications
Follow all food handling and safety regulations.
Monitor stock inventory and order supplies when necessary
Clean cooking areas thoroughly
Maintain and store tools and equipment
Ensure proper sanitation of all equipment and maintain a clean work area at all times
Check pars for shift use, ensuring that correct amounts are pulled for prep and noting items that need replenishment
Qualifications:
Work experience as a Dishwasher or on Wait Staff
Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
Time management skills
Attention to detail and sanitation rules
Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
Knife Skills/Preparation of food A+
Physical Needs:
Must be able to stand, lift, push and pull for 6-8 hours per day
Able to lift 40-50 pounds
Must be able to bend, reach and twist
Working Conditions:
May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on service area
Varied weather conditions are expected
Will work near mechanical equipment and hot surfaces
Will work with aerosol and other cleaning chemicals.
Work Availability:
Varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
