Essential Job Functions:
· Manage assigned accounts payable
· Work with department managers, purchasing agents and vendors/contractors to ensure proper receipt of goods/services and lien waivers, and the timely processing of invoices
· Manage assigned accounts receivable and draws as assigned
· Respond to Interim and Year-end Financial Audit requests for your area
· Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned
· Correspond with and respond to all vendor inquiries
· Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
· Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy, accepted accounting practices, and the IRS
· Assist in month end closing
· Provide reports to VP’s/Directors as requested
· Responsible for special projects, such as preparing 1099 forms, assisting with the yearly audit, and the preparation and payment of property taxes
· Assist with other projects and general office support tasks as needed
Experience/Education Required:
High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; A minimum of 2+ years working in an accounting field; Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.
