Summer 2020 Banquet & Catering Server


Description
The purpose of the Banquet & Catering Server is to provide food and beverage service to Members and
guests with a focus on excellence, consistency and the Member/guest experience.

Essential Functions:
• Take and serve orders. Bus tables, carry dishes and trays of food and glassware.
• Know the sequence of service and follow it each time when approaching a table.
• Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and presentation.
• Attend to Members and guests upon entrance. Know or learn Member’s names immediately.
• Present menus and help Members and guests select food/beverages.
• Answer questions pertaining to the Restaurant menus.
• Relay any special dietary restrictions and special requests to the culinary staff.
• Work in collaboration with other teammates to deliver Member and guests expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining room and work station.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by leadership.
• Maintain table settings, cleanliness and service throughout the course of the meal.
• Present check in a timely manner.
• Efficient use of the POS system, including ringing in tickets, closing out shifts and adding special requests/notes, and the difference between comps and voids.
• Be able to read and execute BEOs.

• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality/attendance and consistency standards.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
• Treat Members, guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
• Maintain privacy of our Members at all time.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers and directors.
• Perform work in a safe and high quality manner.
• Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to Members and guests at all times.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties, work hours and/or responsibilities for this job at any time.

Requirements:
• High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work required; two to three years of serving
experience in a fine dining restaurant. Three to five years of experience in a smaller, full-service restaurant would be
considered.
• Must Lift up to 60 lbs.

Preferred:
• Serving experience in a resort or club setting
• ServSafe certification; TIPS certification
