The Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and driven General Manager to lead the operations at YES. This is a rare opportunity to take charge of a high-profile venue in the heart of Manchester. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue’s day-to-day running, from staff management and customer service to compliance, events, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full team across all departments (bar, kitchen, events, door/security)
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all four floors
• Drive revenue through excellent service, operational efficiency, and strategic planning
• Lead the venue into LFL growth
• Work closely with promoters and bookers to support events and programming
• Maintain high standards of compliance, health & safety, and licensing requirements
• Monitor budgets, margins, and performance targets
• Recruit, train, and develop staff
• Represent YES’s values and culture at all times

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior management role in a similar environment (live music venue, late-night bar/club, or multi-room hospitality space)
• Strong operational knowledge of bar and venue management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Deep understanding of licensing, health & safety, and compliance in a licensed venue
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, late-night environment
• Passion for music, nightlife, and Manchester’s independent scene
