We’re looking for a Casual Pizza Chef to join the kitchen team at YES Manchester.
YES is a busy independent music, food and nightlife venue in the heart of Manchester. With live shows, club nights, events and busy weekend trade, we’re looking for someone who can jump into the kitchen team and help us deliver great, consistent food when we need additional cover.
The roleThis is a casual position, with shifts available depending on venue trade, events and team cover. It could work particularly well alongside another job, studies or freelance work.
You’ll be helping with:
Preparing and cooking pizzas consistently and to spec
Working a busy fryer section
Food preparation before service
Keeping your section clean, organised and well stocked
Maintaining portion and presentation standards
Following food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures
Opening and closing kitchen duties
Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy services
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, quick, organised and comfortable working under pressure.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food operation
Experience working with pizzas, fryers or high-volume service
Good food hygiene and kitchen standards
Confidence working independently on a section
A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
Good evening and weekend availability
Experience with pizza dough and pizza ovens would be a bonus, but isn’t essential for someone with solid kitchen experience and the right attitude.
Working at YESThis isn't a traditional restaurant kitchen.
You’ll be working inside one of Manchester’s best-known independent music venues, with shifts covering everything from regular food service to sold-out gigs, club nights and events.
It’s a casual, flexible role in a fast-paced and informal environment, ideal for someone looking to pick up additional kitchen shifts.
Interested? Send us your CV and a little bit about your kitchen experience and availability.
