Job Title: Social Media Content Creator/Coordinator
Location: YOTEL Edinburgh
Contract: Zero-hours (new and evolving role)
Hours: Approx. 16 hours per week (2-3 days, flexible including some weekends/evenings)
Pay: £14 per hour. Potential performance bonus linked to follower growth and event or campaign results
Reports to: General Manager
Role Summary
We’re looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Content Creator/Coordinator to grow our online presence and capture engaging hotel content. This is a flexible, self-starting role focused on reels, events, guest engagement, and marketing opportunities. The role also extends to ensuring all online representation of the hotel is up to date and visible including corporate and 3rd party websites.
Key Duties
Create social media content (reels, photos, short videos) featuring events, guests, team culture, and hotel spaces
Attend and capture content at events, and capture team culture and behind the scenes moments
Build and manage a simple content and events calendar and manage activations in the hotel linked to this
Generate creative ideas (themed days and guest activities)
Research website listings and online visibility opportunities
Identify and contact suitable influencers
Support follower growth and engagement on Instagram
Coordinate filming consent and event notices
Essential
Creative and proactive self-starter
Confident engaging guests and team on camera
Comfortable with reels/editing apps
Organised and commercially aware
Flexible to work around key events
