This is a customer-facing role involving service, food preparation and café operations. Front of House Team Members deliver excellent customer service while preparing drinks, desserts and food items to Yuum standards in a fast-paced premium café environment. This role is part of the opening team at Yuum The Whiteley

Responsibilities:

Customer Service

·       Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service

·       Create a welcoming environment and deliver consistently high hospitality standards

·       Take customer orders using the POS system

·       Maintain strong product knowledge and confidently recommend products and promotions to increase average order value

Food & Drink Preparation

·       Prepare drinks, desserts and food items according to Yuum standards

·       Carry out light food preparation and cold prep when required

·       Follow product handling and storage procedures

·       Follow food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures

Operations & Teamwork

·       Maintain Yuum service, presentation and product standards at all times

·       Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter, equipment and service areas

·       Refill product displays and maintain visual presentation

·       Assist with deliveries, restocking and inventory organisation

·       Maintain product display standards

·       Support waste reduction and stock rotation

·       Assist with opening, closing and daily operational tasks

·       Work closely with the team to keep service smooth, organised and welcoming during busy periods

·       Share feedback and suggestions to help improve service and operations

What we are looking for:

Experience & Skills

·       Previous experience in hospitality, café, retail or customer service preferred

·       Comfortable using POS systems and handling customer orders

·       Good spoken English

Personal qualities

·       Strong communication and customer service skills

·       Positive attitude and strong attention to detail

·       Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment

·       Takes ownership of tasks and service standards

·       Interest in premium food, drinks or café culture

Work requirements
