As a Sushi Chef de Partie at Zuma, you’ll play a key role in creating our signature dishes, combining tradition with modern flair, sushi is not just a dish, it’s an art form. With your expertise and dedication, you’ll contribute to our reputation for delivering unforgettable dining experiences. 

Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, inspired by the dynamic Izakaya dining style. This role will be based in Zuma Mykonos, a first-of-its-kind lifestyle destination. Featuring a sleek infinity-pool, lounge, restaurant and resident DJs, our vibrant seasonal location is a dynamic lifestyle concept that captures the essence of contemporary dining and entertainment making it the dining destination in Mykonos.

Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain sufficient mise en place levels to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of food during service, with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas, ensuring all practices meet Zuma’s rigorous standards
  • Prepare sushi dishes according to recipes, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation to delight our guests
  • Keep all workstations clean and organized, adhering to Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations
  • Ensure proper maintenance and handling of sushi equipment, minimizing breakages and ensuring smooth operation
  • Lead the Maki section, training Chef de Parties to maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency
