Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods, and confections in a fast-paced kitchen. The ideal candidate has a passion for baking, strong technical skills, and the ability to maintain consistency and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, bake, and finish a wide range of pastries and desserts including cakes, cookies, tarts, mousses, and specialty items
Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation specifications
Assist in developing new dessert items and seasonal offerings in collaboration with the Pastry Chef
Monitor inventory and minimize waste by properly storing ingredients and rotating stock
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, and proofers
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Adhere to kitchen timing standards to meet service deadlines

Your success with us requires these qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role, with a focus on pastry production.
Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in pastry making.
Strong organizing and leadership abilities.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in pastry arts.
In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, baking techniques, and nutrition.
Experience with baking that accommodates dietary restrictions (gluten-free, sugarless, etc.).
A culinary arts, pastry-making, or baking certification is preferred.
