Description

Who Are Absolute Taste and What Do We Do?

We are an innovative culinary and customer service provider, dedicated to delivering inspirational food and experiences that redefine customer satisfaction. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for pushing boundaries, we continue to grow from strength to strength.

As a small, dynamic team of event professionals, we specialize in creating exciting, well-managed, and sustainable events, while fostering strong working relationships. We're looking for individuals who share our fun, resilient, and hardworking values to join our supportive, high-performing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly regarded organisation dedicated to success and a positive, empowering culture.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to keep the organisation’s technology running smoothly, securely, and without interruption. As the primary point of contact for all IT support, you’ll ensure systems remain reliable, resolve day‑to‑day technical issues, and maintain the infrastructure that enables every team to work at their best.

You’ll play a crucial role in supporting a fast‑growing, multi‑site business, providing hands‑on expertise across locations in Bicester, London, and Brighton. This position suits someone proactive, adaptable, and confident in troubleshooting, someone who thrives on being the go‑to technical specialist on the ground.

Location:  Bicester

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Site IT Support & Logistics

  • Site Visits: Travel regularly between offices in Bicester, London, and Brighton to provide hands-on support, audit equipment, and maintain physical infrastructure.
  • Workstation & Office Setup: Physically set up desks, monitors, docking stations, and cable management for new hires or office reshuffles.
  • Meeting Room Management: Ensure all audio-visual (AV) equipment, TVs, and conferencing tools (Zoom/Teams) in meeting rooms are fully functional at all locations.

User Support & Helpdesk

  • Daily Tech Support: Coordinate as the first point of contact for IT queries, resolving issues with Windows/Mac laptops, mobile phones, printers, and software.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Manage the entire IT lifecycle for employees: creating accounts, assigning licenses, configuring laptops, and securely wiping data when staff leave.
  • Training & Guidance: Provide basic training to staff on new software, cybersecurity best practices (like spotting phishing emails), and how to use office hardware.
  • Network Maintenance: Troubleshoot local Wi-Fi, routers, and switches. Work with ISPs to resolve internet outages quickly to minimize business downtime.

Security & Data Management

  • Access Control: Manage user permissions and passwords, ensuring staff only have access to the data they need.
  • Endpoint Security: Ensure all company devices have active antivirus software, are encrypted, and run the latest OS updates.
  • Data Backups: Monitor daily backups of critical company data and occasionally test data recovery processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 6 months of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or IT administration role.
  • Driving License: Must hold a valid UK driving license and be comfortable driving/traveling regularly between Bicester, London, and Brighton.
  • Operating Systems: Comfortable navigating and troubleshooting both Windows and macOS.
  • Cloud/Admin Basics: Familiarity with admin portals for Microsoft 365, Meraki.
  •  Ability to manage own time and prioritize tickets effectively while working remotely or across different sites without constant supervision.
  • Excellent people skills. Must be able to explain technical fixes to non-technical colleagues patiently and clearly.

Desirable

  • Experience setting up small office networks or Wi-Fi access points.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
  • A basic understanding of data protection guidelines (GDPR).
