Head Chef - Woods’ Silver Fleet

Salary £65,000 +

We are offering a rare opportunity for a visionary Head Chef to lead two distinct, yet complementary culinary concepts - Silver Fleet and Driftwoods - across a landmark London venue and an iconic fleet of luxury river yachts on the River Thames.

This extraordinary role calls for a chef who can balance heritage luxury and contemporary creativity, designing and delivering outstanding, sustainable food experiences at every scale - from Michelin-level tasting menus and intimate private dining to high-volume events and launch parties for up to 950 guests in a unique environment.

With over 7 decades of excellence in luxury river hospitality, Woods’ Silver Fleet is renowned for precision, service detail, and flawless execution at scale. Menus are refined, elegant, and thoughtfully curated using seasonal, sustainably sourced ingredients. Established for over 70 years, Woods’ Silver Fleet is a family-owned business renowned for its attention to design and service detail whilst aiming to grow and scale. Clients include Dom Pérignon, Google, TikTok, Jaguar, and Bulgari.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will have full culinary ownership - shaping menus, leading teams, managing operations, and ensuring consistency and excellence across all venues and vessels.  You will be as comfortable creating a refined tasting menu as you are delivering large-scale luxury events with absolute precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop full-time and casual kitchen teams
  • Create and deliver menus across both Woods’ Silver Fleet, Woods Quay and Driftwoods
  • Manage all food procurement, stock control, and waste reduction
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best quality produce at best market value
  • Operate consistently within agreed budgets and due diligence frameworks
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across all kitchen production
  • Uphold Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
  • Manage rotas, hours, holidays, and cover via the Fourth Hospitality system
  • Control kitchen costs without compromising guest experience
  • Lead regular team meetings and briefings
  • Invest passionately in the training, mentoring, and progression of your team
