What You’ll Do
As the Director of Sales and Events, you are always influential; conceptualizing, selling, and delivering a truly unique and elevated experience. Being one of the first employees of The Global Ambassador, this role is necessary to maximize REVPAR and grow market share by cultivating and selling group and social event experiences. This new role reports to our Managing Director and will work closely with revenue management and marketing functions to exceed the expectations of our guests' and members’ refined and sophisticated style. The Director of Sales will provide hands-on leadership for the sales strategy in all market segments to maximize hotel revenues throughout the property. You and your team will sell and service both group and social events.
Who You Are
5+ years’ experience in hotel/resort sales leadership
Previous experience working with new destinations is preferred
Professional, yet comfortable with candid & open to and acting upon feedback – all with the guest and employee experience top of mind
An open, curious mind with a desire to deliver a tailored guest experience with a hospitality every time mindset
A get-it-done approach and an entrepreneurial spirit
Exceptional communication skills with a keen eye for detail
Highly responsive and collaborative, a team player who approaches work without ego
Domestic and International travel experience is preferred
Current knowledge of local area, the latest trends and styles is a must
