What You’ll Do 

  • Assist in the oversight of all housekeeping operations including room attendants, housemen, supervisors, inspectors, office coordinator, laundry, and public areas 

  • Deliver a tailored guest experience with a hospitality every time mindset from arrival to departure 

  • Train, motivate, and schedule the housekeeping team according to sequence of service to ensure maximum productivity, employee morale, and guest satisfaction 

  • Ensure a consistently high level of cleaning standards are met throughout the hotel and adhere to Forbes Five Star standards 

  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure standards and quality are met and maintained. Audit room attendants, Supervisors, and inspectors and provide regular feedback accordingly 

  • Work with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations 

  • Foster a positive, service-driven culture that aligns with Forbes Five-Star standards 

  • Assist in compiling the weekly schedule based on occupancy, business need, and adhering to Labor Standards 

  • Assist in tracking room inspections completed by Supervisors and Inspectors, holding the team accountable accordingly. Address trends with the team, both individually and during pre-shift opportunities 

  • Assist in monitoring Inventory for Guest Supplies, Operating Supplies, Laundry Supplies and ordering while adhering to monthly budget and business needs 

  • Assist with conducting monthly linen Inventory, records data accordingly 

  • Assist in coaching Supervisors/Inspectors with regular one-on-ones to ensure department goals and objectives are regularly met 

  • Assist in ensuring deep cleaning is regularly scheduled in rooms and public areas in partnership with other departments to maintain the quality of the guest experience 

 

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years housekeeping leadership experience, preferably at a luxury hotel property  

  • Familiarity/Experience with Forbes Five-Star standards preferred  

  • Familiarity with Opera PMS/Alice Housekeeping Management Software a plus 

  • Have a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars 

  • Professional, yet comfortable with candid & open to and acting upon feedback – all with the guest and employee experience top of mind 

  • Exceptional communication skills with a keen eye for detail
