The Global Ambassador Hotel is a Michelin Key luxury destination in Phoenix, known for redefining urban hospitality. We offer a unique and sophisticated experience for our guests, combining exquisite service, luxurious amenities, and a vibrant community atmosphere. Our focus is on providing an extraordinary stay that sets new standards for luxury and service.
As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's beverage program, including curating an exceptional selection of handcrafted cocktails and managing one of the largest rosé collections in the United States. You will work closely with the restaurant team, beverage team, and wine team to ensure seamless service and an unforgettable experience for our guests.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and enhance a diverse and innovative beverage menu that complements the Mediterranean-inspired cuisine
Work to manage efficiency and drink speed of service throughout restaurants
Train and mentor the bar staff to ensure consistency in drink preparation and service
Maintain inventory and manage ordering of all beverage-related supplies and ingredients
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create cocktail and wine pairings that enhance the dining experience
Ensure compliance with all local and state liquor laws and regulations
Assist in the restaurant as needed, including serving guests, running food, and maintaining a clean and organized environment
Continuously seek out new trends and techniques in the beverage industry to keep Thea's offerings fresh and exciting
Manage beverage costs and optimize profitability through strategic pricing and inventory management
Participate in marketing and promotional initiatives to showcase Thea's unique beverage offerings
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a beverage management role, preferably in a high-volume, upscale restaurant setting
Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail creation techniques
Proven ability to create and execute innovative beverage programs
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in beverage inventory management systems and POS software
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Certification in alcohol awareness training (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol)
