What You’ll Do
As the Bell & Valet Manager, you are the driving force behind our first and last impressions, shaping each guest’s arrival and departure experience with precision and care. This role demands energy, attention to detail, and a relentless commitment to delivering seamless, personalized service at the Forbes Five Star level.
Supervise and manage the guest services team-valet attendants which is responsible for the arrival experience (valet and bell services).
Lead the training initiatives for Forbes standards, ensuring all team members comply with and adhere to our established service standards.
Train and mentor new team members on hotel policies, procedures, and exceptional customer service standards.
Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as front desk and housekeeping to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Oversee all aspects of valet payment processing, including cash and credit card transactions. Recommend best practices to secure payments efficiently in a fast paced environment and ensure proper reconciliation processes are in place to minimize hotel liability and prevent theft.
Administer and facilitate the distribution of tips, ensuring a fair and transparent process for all team members.
Oversee luggage handling, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of guests' belongings to and from their rooms.
Manage valet parking operations, ensure timely and efficient service for guests, and coordinate with local parking facilities as needed.
Assist guests with transportation arrangements, such as organizing taxis, shuttle services, or providing directions and local travel information.
Ensure bell and valet services staff are knowledgeable about hotel facilities, programming, and local area to provide accurate information and recommendations to guests.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the hotel lobby, entrance, parking areas, and other common spaces.
Implement and enforce safety and security procedures to protect guests, staff, and hotel property, including vehicle safety and proper key management.
Regularly inspect bell and valet service equipment, such as luggage carts and valet key boxes, to coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
Assist with special requests, such as coordinating the delivery of packages, flowers, or other items to guests' rooms.
Monitor and manage the bell and valet services budget, including staffing expenses, equipment maintenance, and supplies.
Continuously evaluate and improve bell and valet service operations, identifying areas for enhanced efficiency or guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
3+ years of high-volume luxury hotel Bell/Valet experience.
Previous Forbes Five Star experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead with urgency, attention to detail, and service intensity
Proven experience coaching teams, developing leaders, and driving measurable results
High-level multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
A curious, hospitality-forward mindset with a passion for creating personalized guest experiences from front-to back-of-house
Exceptional communication skills and a sharp eye for detail
Strong local area knowledge preferred
