Who you are:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in hotel maintenance preferred
  • Knowledge of health codes, safety regulations, and other applicable laws
  • Excellent communication, customer service focus and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instruction sheets
  • Strong competency with maintenance tools/equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record

As a Facilities Engineer, you will:

  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical problems with kitchen equipment such as stoves, dishwashers, and refrigeration units
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on restaurant facilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance to ensure all kitchen and restaurant equipment is functioning properly
  • Keep up with technological advances in the food service industry and stay abreast of changes in regulations related to health codes and other applicable laws
  • Set up new kitchen equipment according to manufacturer instructions and hotel requirements
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner; troubleshoot issues with lighting, plumbing, appliances, HVAC systems
  • Manage paint, carpentry, and basic renovation projects
  • Work with vendors to purchase necessary parts for repairs
  • Monitor building systems, including electrical, mechanical and fire/life safety
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties and inspections
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials
  • Provide excellent customer service to resolve maintenance issues
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with kitchen equipment and make the appropriate repairs in a timely manner
  • Provide training to staff on proper use of kitchen equipment, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures
  • Work closely with culinary operation to ensure effective use of all equipment
