The Director of Membership will constantly be contributing to the growth and retention of membership as well as develop personal, professional relationships with members to increase member satisfaction, membership growth and revenue. Additionally, this person will be relationship-oriented and focused on building as well as maintaining connected, collaborative relationships with the entire Twelve Thirty Club team. This person will be active in representing The Twelve Thirty Club in Nashville both on and off property by attending events, exhibitions, new restaurant opening to recruit new Honorary Members as well as implementing systems to encourage nominations from current members. A successful Membership Director will have many existing relationships in the area and a desire to build and maintain a dynamic and exciting community of Honorary Members.

What we are looking for:

  • A dynamic and charismatic team member to continuously build and improve upon Honorary Member sales program
  • Refined communicator to provide personalized, concierge service to each Honorary Member
  • Sophisticated sales professional to develop and create new Honorary Member leads by actively soliciting target guests through telephone calls, social media, and physical visits
  • Maintain and oversee organized prospective member database
  • Conduct new member meetings ensuring a smooth and welcoming introduction to the club
  • Well-connected member of the Nashville art and hospitality community
  • Someone excited to develop and maintain professional, friendly, personal relationships with current Honorary Members to influence continuous membership growth
  • Subject matter expert for all aspects of The Twelve Thirty Club
  • Enthusiastic host of VIP activities for target guests
  • Skillful public speaker to conduct sales presentations and venue tours to potential members
  • Work with Reservationist and Host teams to track Honorary Member table reservations
  • Professional and poised to have a visible presence on the floor conducting table visits during dinner service to build member relationships, encourage memberships and field membership inquiries
  • Team player to take care of member needs as they arise and assist with operations as needed
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote and demonstrate superior customer service to VIP clientele
  • Knowledgeable of all property events and activities to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely information is provided throughout the venue and to potential customers
  • Polished and effective communicator to effectively interact with customers, management, team members and others at an exemplary level
  • Flexibility to be available to respond to guest requests at a moment’s notice with poise and tact
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals to deliver exceptional member service
  • Highly motivated to take initiative and continually evolve the overall member experience and sales initiatives
  • Address member concerns with poise and ensure a positive member experience
  • Oversee and maintain the member app
  • Oversee and secure annual renewals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years membership sales experience; outside sales experience, preferred
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a high-level understanding of interpersonal skills to positively and productively deal with business contacts and team members at all levels of the company
  • Sophisticated communication style with high standards of performance
  • Excellent problem solving and listening skills
  • Possess a strong attention to detail and engaging presentation skills
  • Available to work lunch and dinner shifts including some holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate
  • In addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of functions to be determined based upon the particular needs of the venue
  • Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high volume hospitality environment
  • Proficient in Seven Rooms, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong keyboarding and typing skills with a minimum of 50 wpm net
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to details
