Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 + Commission & Bonus


The Event Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, planning, and executing specials events. This role includes following up on inquires and soliciting new business. The Event Coordinator is a brand ambassador who represents the company in person, through email, and on the phone. They are the main point of contact for Guests planning events and are expected to hold themselves to the highest standards of professionalism. They have a keen eye for hospitality and understand the need to go above and beyond for special events and create memory moments for Guests. They are detail oriented and are diligent to ensure every aspect of a Guest’s experience is exceptional, starting with the planning all the way through the execution of the event. They are driven to build business and hit their performance goals. The Event Coordinator works with pride and must have a tremendous work ethic that sets the tone for the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contacting, booking, and following up with all Guest inquiries regarding special events and functions
• Manages events and catering scheduling utilizing appropriate systems including OpenTable and TripleSeat
• Confirms and communicates event details with all management (Front and Back of House)
• Oversees events and participates in the execution
• Oversees all special events and promotions, on and offsite, including complimentary parties, networking events, pairing dinners, holiday promotions, etc.
• Local Store Marketing (LSM) efforts contacting local business, conventions centers, schools, sports organizations, community organizations
• Builds sales by pursuing new business through community outreach, food drops, and cold calls
• Attend networking events and builds contact list for future event considerations
• Foster relationships with Concierge, front desk agents, bellman, valets with regular visits
• Organize street team and other guerilla marketing initiatives
• Meet sales goals provided by Leadership
• Weekly reporting and updates
• Assisting in planning and executing corporate sponsored companywide event
• Assisting with Marketing tasks assigned by Director of Operations, Director of Sales & Events, or General Manager
• Maintains, organizes, and orders catering and décor items used for events
• Attends planning meetings with General Manager, Chefs, and other relevant parties
• Produces actions plans to achieve desired results and hit all financial goals when opportunities arise
• Keep a clear line of communication within the team including Managers, Chefs, and the Director of Sales & Events
• Responsible for implementing and holding strict standards for safety and sanitation
• Understands seasonal and local business trends and creates opportunities based on these trends
• Works with Marketing on executing PR events often representing American Social at these events

EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
• 3 years Restaurant Event Coordinator experience in Full Service, High-Volume Restaurant
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience with catering and reservation programs (Triple Seat, Restaurant 365, Micros)
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, service standards, and guest service
• Book of Business preferred
• Advanced organizational skills
• Bilingual is a plus
• Hospitality Degree is a plus (Associates, Bachelors, Certificates, etc.)
• Serv Safe Certified
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
