  • Restaurant Event Manager

A.O.C. is seeking an organized, hospitality-driven professional to join our management team as an Restaurant Event Manager.

This hybrid role is ideal for someone who loves building relationships with guests, has exceptional attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You'll oversee private events from inquiry to execution while helping lead daily front-of-house operations. 

A.O.C. is an independently owned, chef-driven restaurant from James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and James Beard Award-winning restaurateur Caroline Styne, known for seasonal cooking, genuine hospitality, and thoughtful service.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate private dining and special events from booking through execution.
  • Conduct site tours and serve as the primary contact for event clients.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, event orders, timelines, and floor plans.
  • Coordinate menus and event logistics.
  • Lead and support front-of-house operations during restaurant service.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming dining experience by engaging with guests and supporting the service team.
  • Work closely with the culinary and management teams to ensure seamless execution of events and daily service.

Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Warm, engaging, and naturally guest-focused.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy.
  • Calm, positive, and solution-oriented under pressure.Calm, positive, and solution-oriented under pressure.
  • Triple Seat experience a plus
  • Collaborative leadership style with a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management, event coordination, or hospitality leadership experience.
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of food, wine, and service standards preferred.

Requirements

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to spend extended periods on your feet and move throughout the restaurant.
  • Flexibility to support both event planning and restaurant operations as business needs require.
