Arabica is a well stablished Levantine style restaurant born out of a passion for the food of the Levant, the sun-drenched lands of the Eastern Mediterranean.

Our dearly loved bare brick Victorian railway arch is home to our first restaurant in the heart of Borough Market – where our journey started way back in the early Noughties as ‘Market Traders’. Atmospheric at any time of day with the lively bustle of market life and a soundtrack to lift your spirit.

Known for serving a vibrant array of colourful meze and small plates, modern take on charcoal grill and oven dishes, we are looking for a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and bring fresh ideas to our menu.

Responsibilities:

  •    Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  •    Manage, train, and mentor a diverse kitchen staff, fostering a positive, inclusive and efficient work environment.
  •    Maintain inventory, order supplies, and control food costs while minimizing waste.
  •    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  •    Work closely with the management team to innovate and implement creative culinary ideas.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy, high-quality restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and passion for food, with the ability to craft inspiring dishes.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, processes, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure
