Kitchen Supervisor | Birmingham | £12.00 per hour

A kitchen supervisory role in a fast-paced environment is preferred, however if you are an experienced member of a busy kitchen team we would also welcome your application for this role. Whilst experience is important to us the key ingredients are a great attitude and a willingness to learn, we’ll teach you the rest!

  • Pay: £12.00 per hour 
  • Shifts Available: Full time - 30hrs per week
  • Location: Birmingham City Centre
  • This permanent role will require availability to work shift patterns that include late evenings and weekends.

Back of House Supervisor responsibilities include: 


  • Support the senior management team by supervising back of house operations, within a fast-paced environment to deliver the highest standards in food safety, cleanliness, and Health & Safety.
  • Communicate effectively between all levels of management.
  • Achieve the Archie’s Atomic KPI’s.
  • Maintain focus on our 3 core areas (Cleanliness, Food Quality and Customer Service).
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate all orders in line with Archie’s specifications.
  • Control all supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed with an understanding of stocks with preps and par levels to forecast.
  • Store food products in compliance with safety procedures (e.g. FIFO).
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work, correct packaging, and presentation to specification.
  • Control operational costs and wastage. 
  • To ensure that store targets and compliance with sanitation and safety regulations are met and recorded.
  • To uphold the Archie’s brand and suggest ways that we can improve. 
  • To be able to implement our policies and processes on a day-to-day basis such as staff hygiene and uniform.
  • To be able to motivate, mentor, develop and lead others providing feedback/ guidance where needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the senior manager on shift.
  • Most of all, an enthusiasm to be a people person and taking pride in their role to get the job done.  

 

Requirements and skills: 

  • Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a QSR or branded restaurant environment.
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written English.
  • Demonstrate excellent time keeping, reliability and be flexible to work across 7 days to meet the needs of the business.
  • The ability to pick up new skills quickly and become a future leader.
  • A can-do attitude, a sharp eye for detail and pride in your work.
  • Most of all, an enthusiasm for getting the job done.

 

All Managers will be required to undergo a DBS which will be processed at the offer stage.
