Kitchen Porter

Description
Diligent, energetic, and dedicated: our kitchen porters are the unsung heroes who keep our kitchens running.

As a company, we look for hard-working, friendly, and personable team members who hold the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and can become an indispensable part of a kitchen team. Experience is preferred, but an ability to learn quickly and hit the ground running are just as important.

What we offer:

We offer full-time contracts, with all overtime paid, and can offer staff 40+ hours per week during busy periods.

Our chefs have access to a generous benefits package, including:
• Access to a monthly incentive share scheme
• Meals provided while on duty
• Staff discount across our restaurant, café, and ceramics businesses
• Christmas Day and Boxing Day off
• Your birthday off (after one year’s employment)

Our approach:

Our aim is for customers to leave wanting to return – and recommending us to their friends and family. With our customer-first approach, we are clear and transparent about what we offer and what customers can expect when they dine with us, and we are constantly listening to feedback from our customers and team members on how we can improve further.

Our business:

Established in 1946 as a small, family-owned studio pottery, Jersey Pottery grew to become one of the Island’s busiest and most popular tourist attractions in the 1980s. In the early 1960s a coffee bar was introduced to cater to tourists visiting the ceramic factory and showroom. The original coffee bar was the beginning of JPRestaurants, which has now become one of the leading restaurant and catering businesses in Jersey, serving thousands of customers daily with fresh, local and innovative food.
