In the heart of Soho, yet hidden from view under the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly, Bar Américain is a truly authentic American Bar. Classic and house cocktails are served nightly alongside a selection of wines, champagnes, beers and non-alcoholic options.


The role of Bar Manager:

  • Helping to manage the day to day operation of the restaurant bar
  • Ensuring that all company standards are adhered to
  • Menu development in collaboration with the Group Beverage Director
  • Taking every step to enhance guest experiences
  • Training, development and supervision of bar team members
  • Effectively handling guest queries, complaints and feedback
  • An integral part of the wider management team
  • Supporting recruitment, induction and appraisals of new employees

What we’re looking for in a Bar Manager:

  • Knowledge of and a passion for European wine and classic cocktails
  • A true understanding of quality service and a close eye for detail
  • The ability to motivate and encourage a team and work in collaboration with all departments is critical
  • The desire to strive for excellence and inspire others
  • To embody the highest standards of hospitality and service delivery
  • Superior levels of product knowledge
  • A good level of financial awareness, cost control and payroll
  • A good level of knowledge in Health & Food Safety
  • Applicants will need to be able to commit to being available for all days and all shifts on the rota
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Experience of working in a senior bar management role within a similar quality restaurant environment
