The Compliance & ESG Manager will be responsible for leading compliance initiatives and integrating
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices across our organisation.
This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory adherence while driving sustainable
business practices that align with our company’s values and the expectations of
guests, investors, and regulators.
The Compliance & ESG Manager will demonstrate a deep understanding of
compliance frameworks, as well as the evolving landscape of ESG in the
hospitality sector—including focusing on energy use, labour practices, and
supply chain sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Internal Compliance
- Develop, implement, and
maintain the organisation’s group compliance framework and policies.
- Monitor compliance with
regulatory requirements, and internal standards framework and policies.
- Monitor changes in
applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Investigate compliance
issues and coordinate with legal or regulatory authorities as needed.
- Manage regulatory reporting
and liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.
- Prepare reports for, the
Board, senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on changes in
laws, regulations, and industry practices that may impact the business.
- Collaborate with Heads of
Department to ensure consistent
compliance across all functions.
- Maintain records of
compliance activities, including complaints, investigations, and audits.
- Conduct risk assessments to
identify potential compliance issues and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide compliance training
and awareness sessions to employees and stakeholders.
- Act as a point of contact
for employees to report potential risks or concerns.
- Monitor and Audit Risk Proof
for compliance and action as necessary
- Attend audits by 3rd parties
- Monitor workmanship and
completion of work conducted for compliance.
ESG Compliance & Integration:
- Ensure alignment with
ESG-related regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Support ESG reporting and
disclosures, including data collection, verification, and submission to
appropriate stakeholders.
- Work closely with
sustainability and corporate responsibility committees to embed ESG
considerations into corporate governance.
- Conduct due diligence on ESG
risks related to supply chains, investments, and operations.
- Develop internal ESG
policies and procedures and promote ESG culture and awareness across the
organisation.

Monitoring & Reporting:
- Design and execute internal
audits and compliance checks.
- Track and report on
compliance metrics, breaches, or incidents.
- Prepare reports for senior
management and The Board on compliance and ESG performance.
- Investigate compliance
violations and oversee corrective actions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact
for regulatory authorities, auditors, and ESG agencies.
- Collaborate
cross-functionally with HR, procurement, finance, and sustainability
teams.
- Support external
communications related to ESG compliance and performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law,
Business, Sustainability, or related field (Master’s degree or
professional certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in
compliance, legal, risk management, or ESG roles.
- In-depth understanding of
compliance laws and ESG regulations.
- Strong knowledge of ESG
frameworks and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organisational,
and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and
professionalism.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in corporate
sustainability or ESG consulting.
- Familiarity with ESG data
platforms and compliance management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple
projects and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Working Conditions:
- 40 hours per week
- Office based in Moreton in
the Marsh
- Will be required to travel to other properties, regulatory
meetings, or ESG conferences.
