We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting/HR Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position will support both the Accounting and Human Resources departments in daily operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in administrative and transactional tasks.
The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and capable of handling sensitive information with professionalism.
Key Responsabilities
· Import and audit daily sales data for accuracy and completeness. · Perform weekly and monthly general ledger reconciliations as needed. · Assist with booking journal entries. · Support the reconciliation of accounts payable (AP) statements. · Prepare and file the AP workbook for the weekly AP run. · Assist with invoice recording and documentation. · Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. · Assist with onboarding and termination processes across HR platforms. · Input and track payroll-related information, including PTO, sick time, vacation, etc. · Upload and maintain accurate employee records and files. · Support investigations in collaboration with HR leadership. · Help create and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR practices. · Assist in planning small employee engagement activities. · Support HR compliance reporting, including EEOC and OSHA requirements. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1–3 years of experience in an accounting or HR support role. Familiarity with general accounting principles and HR practices. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) and HRIS systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 15 pounds, as well as work in a sitting position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours). |
