Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Sushi Chef in the
preparation and production of sushi items for our guests in accordance with
company food preparations and service guidelines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Works in front of guests while preparing food at the sushi bar
and ensuring a fun and inviting experience.
- Prepare all sushi items according to
recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation
guidelines.
- Read tickets and prepare order.
- Coordinate tickets with
service/kitchen staff and managers.
- Work with speed and efficiency to
ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items.
- Keep updated on recipe changes and
ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high quality
and consistent product.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation
of kitchen area throughout shift.
- Complete assigned prep work for
stocking and set up of station.
- Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi bar and
equipment.

Job Requirements: -
Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
preferred.

Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during
stressful and/or busy times.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and recognize the
importance of each team member's role in the guest dining experience.
- Ability to prepare food for consumption with background knowledge
of proper techniques and equipment to be used.
- Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling
techniques is highly desirable.
- Where applicable, holds a state and/or local food handler’s card.
- Must be 18 years of age or older or in accordance of state law.
- High School
diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent combination of education/experience
will be considered.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
