Shop Savoury Line Cook – Retail Shop
Birley Bakery is the newest venture from club owner and
entrepreneur Robin Birley, the force behind London’s prestigious private
members’ clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s.
Launching summer 2025 on Madison Avenue in NYC’s Upper East Side, Birley Bakery
brings a warm and welcoming take on the classic Boulangerie-Patisserie,
offering simple, elegant breads, pastries, and desserts made to the highest
standards.
Summary of Position:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Savoury Line Cook to join our service team at the shop. This is not a creative or developmental role – all mise en place is prepared at the production kitchen and delivered daily.
You will be responsible for executing breakfast and lunch service only: plating and heating items such as croques monsieur, quiches, and light salads, following established recipes from our Executive Chef. There is no need for pastry experience, dough handling, or menu input.
