Job Title: HR Business Partner

Reporting to: HR Director

This is a hands-on role that will get you out from behind a desk, with regular travel required to our sites to build relationships and support our teams where the action happens.

We are on the hunt for a dynamic HRBP to coach our leaders, champion our culture, and keep our people operations running. This is a high-impact role where you’ll be driving the people agenda, owning end-to-end ER, and delivering the kind of support that keeps our teams thriving.

You’ll be joining a small, but efficient team of two, reporting directly to our HR Director. This is a role for a "doer"- someone who can switch gears in a heartbeat, from keeping the essential admin ticking over to coaching our restaurant managers and senior Ops leaders through complex people challenges.

If you’re an ambitious HR professional looking to step into a business where you can truly get stuck in, influence at all levels, and thrive in a "no two days are the same" environment, we want to hear from you!

Employee Relations (ER)

  • Act as the primary advisor on all people-related matters across designated sites, managing both complex and routine ER cases end-to-end.
  • Coach General Managers and senior management teams to navigate ER matters in line with current UK employment legislation and company policy.
  • Lead and support the full investigation process, including drafting allegations, preparing hearing documentation, and attending disciplinary, grievance, and appeal hearings where required.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk by addressing employee concerns in a timely, fair, and commercially sound manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ER case records and trackers, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Manage long-term sickness and capability processes end-to-end, including welfare meetings, absence reviews, and advising on reasonable adjustments in partnership with Occupational Health.

Coaching & Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing coaching, challenge, and guidance to drive effective people management.
  • Build management capability through real-time coaching on performance, engagement, and leadership practices.
  • Use people data and insights to identify trends, inform decision-making, and recommend actionable solutions aligned to the People strategy.
  • Partner with the HR Director to deliver key people initiatives and strategic projects that support business growth and performance.
  • Support broader business needs through ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
  • Support the HR Director in rolling out company wide engagemnet initiatives.

Policy & Process

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies and processes, ensuring alignment with best practice and business objectives.
  • Drive consistency and compliance across all sites, embedding a strong people-focused culture.
  • Contribute to the evolution of People systems and practices to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Performance & Talent Management

  • Coach managers on annual Talent Review frameworks, including goal setting and improvement plans.
  • Partner with operational leaders post-talent reviews to identify high-potential individuals and implement targeted development and succession plans.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Partner with the Operations team to support the recruitment of management roles, ensuring quality hiring aligned with business needs.
  • Lead and deliver engaging company induction programmes to support successful onboarding and cultural integration.

Payroll & Reporting

  • Support the Payroll Manager by overseeing tronc changes including submission of bi-weekly tronc reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Learning & Development

  • Design and deliver annual HR training programmes to close capability gaps and strengthen leadership effectiveness across management teams.

What's in it for you?

  • A base salary of up to £52,500, depending on your background and expertise
  • 50% monthly discount at all our UK restaurants to enjoy with friends and family.
  • 23 days holiday, rising to 25 with length of service + bank holidays - plus an extra day for your birthday, or well, whatever you want!
  • Balanced hybrid working with 4 days in our London office and 1 day from home.
  • Comprehensive Private Medical Insurance to keep you at your best.
  • Up to £100 toward glasses for VDU users.
  • Eligibility for our discretionary bonus scheme so you can share in our success.
  • Company Pension Scheme

Who you'll be?

  • Previous HR generalist experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing industry.
  • Experience of partnering with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilient and adaptable - comfortable switching between admin, strategy, and high-risk ER without missing a beat.
  • Analytical & Curious with the ability to use people data to spot trends, identify risks, and turn insight into practical, business-focused action.

All applicants will be required to prove that they are legally allowed to work in the United Kingdom.
