The Junior Graphic Designer will work with the Graphic Designer & the Barcelona Wine Bar Creative Team in support of our brands and restaurant teams on a variety of projects varying in scope, complexity, and topic. The position is a hybrid office/work-from-home position with 2 days a week in Westport CT and will report directly to the Brand Marketing Director. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 

● Communicate the brand(s) voice through design and implementation. Contribute to its evolution over time. 

● Review, edit, and upload restaurant menus daily. 

● Create business cards as requested. 

● Support the training department with all digital graphic needs for the online learning platform. ● Edit images and create graphics for social media and websites. 

● Collaborate with the creative team on special projects such as: wine labels, retail packaging, apparel, events, and new brand development. 

● Ensure all artwork and assets are archived and organized. 

● Management of multiple tasks and projects at one time. 

● Other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

● BFA in Graphic Design and/or comparable design work experience. 

● Hands-on experience creating production-ready files, for print and digital, and managing the production process. 

● Experience or interest in illustration, video editing, web development, and UX design are all attractive additions but are not required 

● Experience in restaurants/bars/hospitality is preferred but not required. 

REQUIREMENTS 

● Strong portfolio of graphic design work across a variety of applications, ideally in hospitality, food & beverage, or lifestyle arena showing a mastery of color, typography, layout & composition, imagery, and style versatility. 

● Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator.
