About Us:
Central Amusement International (Luna Park) is looking to add to our team a Food and Beverage Management Intern. The Food & Beverage Management Intern role will be to manage all areas of operation, act as a brand representative by reinforcing the company goals, visions and mission statement while ensuring CAI standards of quality and service are being maintained. The candidates who fill this role will be responsible for providing leadership to staff, managing inventory, maintaining operational standards and administrative duties.
Qualities of Food & Beverage Management Intern:
Leadership skills – the ability to lead by example with the aim to boost productivity and employee morale
Communication skills – managers are required to communicate effectively with both customers and staff to ensure clarity
Physical stamina – the role is demanding and entails working long hours, some of which are spent standing and walking
Organizational skills – managers must plan budgets, schedules, and inventory effectively to ensure operations run smoothly
Problem-solving skills – the ability to investigate and resolve customer complaints or personnel issues is vital for success in the field
Duties:
Interview, hire, and train employees
Assign duties and compile the roster
Ensure accuracy of payroll records etc.
Investigate, address and resolve customer complaints
Maintains ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
Exercise good judgment and effective decision-making
Provides effective coaching and delegation to management team with timely follow up
Maintains staffing at standard labor ratios and ensure adequate staff at all times
Plans accordingly and submits hiring needs to HR in a timely manner.
Coaches staff on procedures, maintains high standards

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience Supervising large teams necessary
NYCDOH Food Handler's License Preferred
Proven leadership and motivational skills
Displays a professional appearance and is a positive role model within the restaurant and corporate office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to multi-task projects simultaneously
Holds self and others accountable to consistently maintain high performance standards
Expected work week of 50 hours minimum; higher volume seasons and heavier work weeks are expected
Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) and office skills required
