Position Overview:
As the Human Resources Manager at Harri, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations in India. Additionally, this role involves active participation in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) setup, underlining our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace.
Reporting Lines:
You will report directly into the Global HR Director and have a dotted line into the Managing Director of India.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies to enhance the overall work environment.
Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances promptly and fairly.
Conduct regular employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and teamwork.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
Lead the recruitment process, collaborating with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
Implement retention strategies to promote employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate relevant programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
Implement career development initiatives to support employee growth within the organization.
Performance Management:
Oversee the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance improvement.
Implement performance management systems to track and evaluate employee productivity.
Legal Compliance:
Stay updated on labour laws and regulations in India, ensuring the company's compliance.
Manage and resolve legal issues related to HR matters, collaborating with legal counsel as needed.
POSH Compliance:
Facilitate the creation and implementation/training of policies, procedures, and awareness programs related to preventing sexual harassment.
Ensure fair and timely resolution of any reported incidents in compliance with POSH regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an HR Manager in India, with a deep understanding of local labour laws and regulations.
Strong knowledge and experience in implementing and managing POSH compliance programs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Exceptional attentional detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficient in HRIS and Google Office applications.
