Position Description
We have a new exciting and challenging SRE Engineer position. The SRE engineer will be responsible for the availability and reliability of critical platform services and applications, ensuring they meet the requirements of internal and external users.
Main Responsibilities:
Run the production environment by monitoring, managing, and controlling the IT infrastructure ensuring that the IT services are delivered according to the company's policies, requirements, and performance standards.
Build software and systems to manage and monitor platform infrastructure and applications.
Measure and optimize system capabilities ahead of customer needs.
Provide operational support for our distributed software system and applications.
Evaluate insightful metrics and help the company to align SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs with service levels defined as optimal within the company.
Help in the evolution of automation, especially in the monitoring and alarming areas.
Conduct post-incident reviews.
The ideal candidate has the following basic qualifications:
3 - 5 years real hands-on experience in SRE or DevOps field.
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Familiarity with REST APIs.
Solid experience in Python development.
Basic knowledge in shell scripting is required.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Experience in JIRA management tool, defect cycle, defect priority and triage.
Solid understanding and experience working with any public cloud provider - Must-Have
AWS and its services. [Nice-to-Have]
Experience in databases and SQL.
This includes knowledge of database design, as well as the capability of writing and executing queries and procedures.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB is a plus.
Experience in git source control.
Experience in CI/CD tools. [Nice-to-Have]
Experience in SOA and microservices architectural patterns and best practices. [Nice-to-Have]
