Solutions Sales Engineer

Description
Harri is the first enterprise ready workforce management platform built for the services vertical.

The services vertical presents the greatest technological challenges that exist within the world of enterprise Workforce / Human Capital Management technology. Harri believes that the 1.4b people globally working in service industries deserve a platform built from the ground up for their specific needs.

We know this space well: our founder and CEO Luke Fryer, a technologist and restaurateur, has set the standard for how to build technology for an industry Harri cares and knows incredibly well.

If you’re a builder, entrepreneur, problem solver, and love the fast pace of a startup, it’s time to come meet the Harri family.

Who are we looking for?
In this role you will be a proactive, self-starter with strong experience working with business and software engineering departments to deliver top-class products that reuse common assets and patterns. You are responsible for the delivery of technical solutions to address business problems and responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation through the sales process. The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions.

You will be capable of assessing customer requirements and developing an integrated (technical, business, and service) solution, while supporting the development of cost estimates for the solution in the field. The Solution Architect is responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution and transforms that vision through execution into the solution.

As our Solutions Architect you will become involved with large market and enterprise projects (North America) at the time of inception and remain involved in some capacity throughout the balance of the project. During the early phases of the engagement, you need to gather (technical) requirements and work with the project manager, business analyst and engagement team to put together a solution proposal. During the execution phase of the project, you will review ongoing implementation governance and architecture compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Solutions Architect is a member of the Architecture team, but also becomes a member of the Development team and has a mixed role, as bridge between concept and implementation. In this role, you must be able to:
*Become familiar with the legal, Human Capital Management, integrations, data migrations, regulatory, health and compliance information
*Conduct in-depth product demonstrations of products/services
*Troubleshoot client problems
*Work with project delivery teams and business unit stakeholders to define the detailed architecture solution that will support the business requirement for a project
*Engage with Harri business units to understand business needs (expressed and latent) and map those needs in technical solution delivery
*Provide consultation and support to project teams throughout the project delivery cycle
*Formulate architecture strategies and transition architectures that will illustrate how the proposed architecture will evolve to satisfy the needs and concerns of stakeholders (eg delivery teams, business sponsors, infrastructure & security partners)
*Provide advanced training and support for the sales team
*Communicate customer requirements to product management teams
*Coordinate with other technology areas (as needed) to formulate high-level solution architectures to support conceptual and preliminary estimates
*Formulate and develop recurring architecture patterns in commonly re-useable assets
*Participate in reviews of the project solution architecture by identifying opportunities and recommendations to optimize or enhance product delivery offerings
*Assist with detailed implementation planning, project planning and project coordination in conjunction with the project manager and delivery manager, developing positive customer relationships (executive level and end user), creating a high level of customer satisfaction, and effective team management

Education & Experience
*3+ years of overall software or IT experience
*Experience in the domains of hospitality, retail, healthcare or similar distributed field workforce environments is a plus
*Experience working with HCM and workforce management softwares is a plus
*Proven track record of working with external customers to understand their needs and translate into technical solutions
*Knowledge of infrastructure components, middleware and service architectures
*Experience analyzing, designing and building end-user applications and/or backend systems
*Experience working in a cross-functional, team-based, globally distributed environment; experience working in an international environment desired
*Ability to properly scope requirements, identify tasks, and determine level of effort
*Ability to effectively communicate technical decisions and their rationales to business unit stakeholders and development teams
*Passionate about latest trends in the IT industry with a strong desire for innovation
*Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, written, problem solving skills
*Self-motivated and self-managing and able to work independently
