Position Description | The Financial Controller will assist with developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting. Taking responsibility for
financial reporting and analysis, regular budget consolidation, cash flow management and improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business.

Role Overview
Our Financial Controller will drive results in the following areas: Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance Managing and directing all accounting functions and personnel on a day to day basis Strong FPA skills / 5 years SaaS experience and completed capital transaction experience Ability to manage compliance and debt facility Assist the CFO with the securing of banking relationships and funding to support business operations and growth initiatives Manage financial and tax strategies as a liaison between the accounting firm and the CFO Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action Researching and working with outside accountants and local taxing authorities on accounting policies specific to the software industry, notably with regards to revenue recognition and research and development costs, as well as tax requirements on multiple types of services Managing systems related to the management of the financial systems of the company Creation and management of the quarterly forecasting process to better forecast revenue each quarter against budget and also track performance of actual to forecast and budget on an ongoing basis Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CFO in performing their responsibilities Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization Developing, documenting and enforcing compliance of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position Perform other duties as assigned
