Compliance Research Assistant
Description
Responsibilities for Research Assistant
- Research laws,
regulations, statutes, legal opinions, business/industry articles, etc. to
prepare or assist with the preparation of compliance guides, reports, data
visualizations and the like
- Collect,
examine, and organize research and other business, legal or government documents
- Draft and
proofread internal staff and external client communications, briefs, documents,
etc.
- Work with
Marketing to identify relevant communication opportunities relative to
‘hot topics’ in the HR, Compliance, WFM (Workforce Management),
Restaurant/Retail, and/or SaaS space
- Collaborate
cross-functionally with several internal departments/external consultants
or law firms to coordinate informational responses to client inquiries
- Create, manage,
organize, and maintain resources within shared digital environments
- Provide
general administrative assistance as needed to facilitate quick turnaround
on projects as needed
- Other duties
as assigned
- This role
reports to the Chief Compliance office
Qualifications for Research Assistant
- Demonstrated
ability to thoroughly research and distill various data into easily
digestable formats; writing samples encouraged
- 1-3 years of
experience as a Research Assistant, Administrative Assistant (preferably
in a law firm or in a corporate legal department), Legal Assistant, or Paralegal
- Detail-oriented
and highly organized
- Excellent verbal
and superior written communication skills with emphasis on superb grammar
and formatting
- Professional,
energetic and service-oriented demeanor
- Strong
knowledge of Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Microsoft
Office, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Experience
with Slack and other communal work apps
- Ability to
work independently, manage demanding workloads, and keep deadlines
- Associate's
degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a Bachelor's
degree preferred
