The Role:

The FP&A Analyst will be the go-to for the business, ad-hoc, impact analysis, budgeting, forecasting and projections. Compile, analyze financial information for CAVA and CAVA Products to tell the story through data maximize company growth and profitability. The data story will need to be shown through the usual spreadsheets, graphs, but also through presentations in a room full of our leaders and shareholders.   The best person for this role and team is someone who will take on a challenge, is a self-starter, will seek to understand and make improvements.   This role is an exciting part of a fast-paced, innovative company.



What You’ll Do:

  • Provide FP&A modeling for CAVA’s operational results, costs, and budgets.
  • Be laser focused on labor, cogs and operating expense planning to ensure CAVA is at the highest potential
  • Mine for data using various tools, create ad-hoc SQL queries and datasets at request
  • Show off your data findings with CAVA Leadership and provide recommended solutions.
  • Create, develop, and refine monthly operational metric reports for the management team and board.
  • Tell the story through data by producing and presenting custom high-level business-segment analytics reports
  • Generate forecasts, analyze key performance indicators, identify underlying business issues and provide findings for operational decisions
  • Be on the frontline support for the value chain and impact analyses of CAVA’s business including details of the effect of price, volume, discounts, distribution, and cost of goods sold changes.
  • Solve problems, find answers, and see trends all through data.

 

The Qualifications:

  • Multiple years of success with financial analysis and reporting for a fast paced ever changing organization
  • Be a user of all the DATA Tools, SQL, Tableau, Hyperion, and obviously Excel (ideally power-user, build it from scratch, people come to you because of your level knowledge)
  • Enjoy working to solve analytics questions, find data and work on financial projects 
  • Be a team player, there is nothing too Big or too small and as a team we get it done
  • Live in the details, providing strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Work with strategic vision and be committed to success of CAVA
  • Be able to provide communication across the organization that allows the data story to be told verbaly or written.
  • Seek to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts to provide the best quality and customer service.
  • Use and have basic understanding accounting principles and GAAP knowledge 
  • Bachelor's degree quantitively focused or technically focused  
  • Experience in retail, food, and beverage and/or hospitality industry a plus
