The Role:

CAVA Accountant will be the go-to for the business for full cycle accounting and financial analysis responsibilities.   This role will be the team player working with internal and external customers ensure the most accurate information is to provide the most accurate, best information, for best in class accounting practices.   Be a journal entry superstar, data analysis champion, relentless with errorless reconciliation, general ledger expert and willing to take on ad hoc projects with zealous.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Accounting expertise, for CAVA costs, budgets, reconciliations in all accountants.
  • Work to ensure that Accounting Projects and Practices are hitting the mark today and in the future.
  • Serve as the go-to for Concur Expense Accounting.
  • Be the liaison with our team on the outside so that they have everything they need and we get the job done as promised. 
  • Be a pivotal player in month-end closing of the general ledger, focusing on G&A accruals and associated department P&Ls and other restaurant level expenses.
  • Be the go-to for 3rd Party vendor and review reporting provided, proactively addressing discrepancies as they are identified.
  • Serve as the point person for accounting expertise and financial projects
  • Focus on our teams that we support and provide the absolute BEST customer experience
  • Have a team player can-do attitude, there is nothing too Big or too small and as a team we get it done.
  • Live in the details, providing strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Work with strategic vision and committed to success of CAVA
  • Have effective communication with the business teams to ensure completeness of expenses for each period.
  • Partner with the business teams as the business evolves to ensure accounting is abreast of changes to ensure the financial statements are accurate.

 

The Qualifications:

  • Multiple years of success and progressive experience in accounting/finance, month-end closing procedures, reconciliation, and financial statement preparation and working with 3rd parties.
  • Be an accounting champion to make all things run effectively across the business for the better
  • A user of tools in accounting to run efficiently, affectively and mentor others with your knowledge.
  • Not only manage multiple projects but thrive and work with tasks effectively
  • Have a PM mindset with a numbers focus
  • Successfully use problem-solving skills and create in and out of the box solutions to meet deadlines.
  • Be a time sensitive focused on goals, deadlines under pressure, commitment driven team player
  • Understand and have the ability to build relationships across multiple teams to foster collaboration
  • Appreciate and thrive in fast-paced environment while working with a high level of attention to detail
  • Embrace all the changes that come from changing business needs to deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Retail or restaurant experience a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
