The Role! 

As a strategic partner to Regional Directors, Regional Leaders, Area Leaders, The Human Resources Business Partner helps achieve goals by maximize our greatest asset, our people! The HRBP is an ambassador of people management practices and a driver of change who leverages their influence and partnership to enhance CAVA + Zoës Kitchen as a “Great Place to Join, Learn, Grow and Stay.” The HRBP will influence and advise restaurant leaders to be advisors, advocates, ambassadors, counselors, developers, facilitators, models, promoters and stewards of people.

The Role! 

As a Senior People + Culture Manager, you serve as a strategic partner to multiple Regional Directors, Area Leaders, The Sr. People + Culture Manager helps achieve goals by maximize our greatest asset, our people! Sr. The People + Culture Manager is an ambassador of people management practices and a driver of change who leverages their influence and partnership to enhance CAVA + Zoës Kitchen as a “Great Place to Join, Learn, Grow and Stay.” The Sr. People + Culture Manager will influence and advise restaurant leaders to be advisors, advocates, ambassadors, counselors, developers, facilitators, models, promoters and stewards of people. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Create effective balances of business partner responsibility with employee advocacy.
  • Be a builder a positive employee relations culture and work environment.  Be the person that people seek out.
  • Embrace, lead the change, and be a culture steward 
  • Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development partners to bring enterprise-wide programs to life 
  • Implement plans to improve employee engagement, evaluate effectiveness, and foster inclusion  
  • Work across all levels of field management on HR areas and provide guidance 
  • Serve as a liaison with talent acquisition managers to ensure the region is efficiently recruiting exceptional talent 
  • Assist with facilitating succession planning to ensure the region is proactively planning to avoid talent shortages and that a bench of talent exists 
  • Partner with field management and training to ensure all employees are progressing in the company’s training and development programs 
  • Work cross-functionally to bring forward HR solutions that will improve business results through lowering turnover, increasing retention, developing high-performing coworkers, and keep us improving
  • Provide timely and valuable consultation on performance management and employee relations issues 
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and inquiries to support business leaders 
  • Create HR projects from beginning to end, using project management methodologies and tools

 

The Skills & Qualifications! 

  • Multiple years of proven success in a Human Resources Manager or Human Resources Business Partner role serving multi-unit retail/restaurant/hospitality 
  • A road warrior that brings HRBP experience, energy and excitement to every location (50% travel)
  • Seek to understand, be a critical thinker, with a methodical approach to problem solving and providing the best outcome.
  • Success at executing plans, project management, follow up, dealing with ambiguity and adapting to rapid change 
  • Make decisions from years of experience, analysis, judgement and in a timely manner
  • Communicate so that the message is understood both in verbal and written communication 
  • Work with a sense of urgency and understand importance
  • Success Multi-task and prioritize work with competing deadlines. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred 
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus 
  • Ability for travel up to 50% is required 

 

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally
  • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions
