Restaurant Talent Acquisition Manager (Remote) 

We are seeking a highly accountable, strategic and innovative Recruiting leader who leads with an Enterprise Mindset.  As our Restaurant Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead with high standards of accountability, while being a driver of innovation and improvement in all areas if Restaurant Recruiting.   You will be responsible for more than just assessing and hiring great talent for today, you will identify new and progressive ways of doing so tomorrow.   In this people leadership role you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of high-performance Recruiters that support every aspect of Restaurant Recruiting including but not limited to interview skills training, standardization, compliance and fair hiring practices.  In addition, you too will manage a Recruiting workload while leading Restaurant Talent Strategy and Company Key Initiatives, in partnership with the Sr. Talent Acquisition Director. 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Reporting to the Sr. Talent Acquisition Director you will effectively lead and develop a team of full-life-cycle Restaurant recruiters, through performance management, competency based + metrics based assessments, impact planning, and overall reporting, leading teams to accomplish priorities and initiatives with the impact of the guest in mind. 

  • Set the example across the department and team of a service mindset. 

  • Lead short-term strategy and priorities within team and strive to reach designated key initiatives at or before agreed upn timeframes. 

  • Effectively communicate goals, priorities and action items to direct reports, actively providing feedback and progress updates.  

  • Manage team members with respect and integrity, independent of their background 

  • Create opportunities for Team Members to grow in their roles and progress in the organization, through insightful and actionable feedback. 

  • Take feedback from Sr. Leadership and colleagues in a constructive manner. 

  • Execute effective decision-making skills to lead the team to succeed. 

  • Manage recruiting workload by sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding high-caliber talent that will elevate the CAVA brand.   

  • Be a thought partner and champion that leads the charge in hiring manager relationships, team responsibilities, and accountability through continuous improvements to our Recruiting strategy and creating mitigation plans for every opportunity.  

  • Be at the front and center of change management, upholding the accountabilities that will elevate CAVAs position as an enterprise brand, though smart hiring practices, training and continuous process improvements.  

  • Be receptive to new ideas and continuously seek ways to innovate solutions and introduce new ways of looking at problems. 

  • Maintain emotional stability in stressful situations, leading by example for how our teams should handle adversity. 

  • In partnership with our Marketing team, you will establish yourself as a social recruiting expert, taking an active lead in employment branding across all hiring social channels.  

  • With a strong marketing mindset working cross functionally with various departments to successfully deploy creative ways of attracting high caliber talent.  

  • Continuously evaluate the candidate journey and hiring process, to determine when there is room for modification and improved efficiency. 

  • Monitors external company reviews and identifies CAVA interview trends, escalating concerns with proposed solutions to Talent Acquisition Director. 

  • Develop local and national diversity partnerships that enhance the diversity of our brand. 

  • Create a robust and meaningful Restaurant internship program. 

  • Continuously research external technologies and resources bringing innovative ideas, methodologies, and processes to the talent team on a consistent and regular basis.  

  • Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset 

  • Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly 

  • Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA’s values 

  • Show discipline in bringing consistent performance, communication, and attitude to the job every day 

  • Actively contribute to your department in order to complete tasks and meet company goals 

  • Recognize the emotional stake each Team Member has in personal and organizational success of this business 

 

The Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years recruiting with 2+ years of recruiting people leadership experience 

  • Must have proficient knowledge of Recruitment marketing strategic, Recruiting metrics, and Employment law 

  • Restaurant Recruiting Experience highly desired  

  • Strategic leadership with sound decision making skills and the ability to work efficiently, and report on trends and results with minimal direction. 

  • Proven success leading organizations through high-growth, high-volume, full cycle recruiting. 

  • Strong relationship building experience, with an impeccable reputation for inspiring results across all cross functional teams   

  • Unwavering commitment to service, accountability, diverse thought, growth and process improvement 

  • Effective negotiator with the ability to manage up, across and through the company while influencing change.  

  • Proven record of accomplishment exceeding hiring goals such as closing percentages, time to fill, and quality of hire.  

  • Possess critical thinking and use that mindset towards continuous innovation, growth and improvements 

  • Exhibit resourcefulness, a can-do attitude, professionalism and responsibility at the highest levels  

  • Must have a service mindset and always communicate with professionalism, kindness and respect 

  • Advanced experience with applicant tracking software and HR databases. 

  • Travel expectation 15%  

 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment 

  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details 

  • Must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds 

  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively 

  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
