The Senior Payroll Analyst:

The Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing payroll data and partnering with our 3rd Party processing company to ensure all team members are paid in compliance with state and federal laws. This role will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, analyzing payroll tax data, and resolving tax-related discrepancies. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of payroll tax laws, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

What You’ll Do:   

• Establish relationships and work closely with restaurant and manufacturing operations to provide support on payroll processes and procedures.
• Collaborate cross-department between People & Culture, Accounting, Legal, and Field operations as applicable to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes. 
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, auditing, and reconciliation of all employee payroll data records, including tax withholdings, 401k deductions, direct deposit information, and other employee benefits in our payroll data platform (UKG).
• Assist with auditing of employee data to ensure data discrepancies are reviewed and corrected.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and localities including reporting requirements, tax administration, and compensation.
• Partner with 3rd Party processing company to process and record manual payroll checks and adjustments as needed.
• Regularly review employee tax set-up to ensure accurate taxation.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll tax configuration or reporting.
• Process required filings and reports.
• Develop and document payroll tax procedures and policies.
• Review and validate accelerated final pay requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead system upgrades and integrations to enhance payroll efficiency.
• Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of payroll systems for optimal functionality.
• Serve as back-up for Senior Payroll Manager.
• Performs other advanced level duties as required.

The Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
• FPC or CPP certification preferred
• 5+years of payroll experience 
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Excel and One Note
• Excellent analytical skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Experience with UKG preferred

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
• Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
• For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
• Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
