VP, Digital Technology and Shared Services Technology

The VP, Digital Technology and Shared Services will be the strategic visionary responsible for building the state-of-the-art technology for our Omni-channel efforts across the company the bringing the highest level of digital solutions to all store and customer interactions.   We are looking for a champion that has excelled in a high-traffic, content-rich websites sites and applications by harnessing tech and the power of the teams that makes them successful. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead in-house engineering teams and outside vendors across the Software Engineering, Scrum Master, Quality Assurance and Architect functions
  • Work closely with our Digital Product Team to determine the overall roadmap, engineering estimates, scope, budget, and resources plans.
  • Develop a highly performant engineering operating model and SDLC following Agile methodologies, processes, and best practices
  • Work with architects to define and drive technical strategy, build-buy frameworks, and key modernization initiatives to improve performance and scalability of products
  • Ensure that technical & security requirements are clearly articulated and integrated into the product roadmap
  • Work with stakeholders from the business and product team to ensure their vision comes to life while providing world class, high functioning digital experience for our customers and company.
  • Be partner to technology teams such as Product, infrastructure, Data and cybersecurity to provide guidance.
  • Attract and retain key digital talent while building an engaged and creative team
  • Support scalable, secure, and top performing operations of the developed solutions
  • Be a steward continuous integration and development methodologies and communicate cross-platform thinking so that a team of developers can build it — and users can use it
  • Serve as a great champion coach, and people developer.
  • Identify and address areas needing process improvement and help to make the changes
  • Be an approachable ambassador of IT Leadership

 

The Qualifications:

  • Have over a decade of success in a technical hands-on, leadership role bringing industry knowledge to an organization and work closely to design and implement solutions. 
  • Be incredibly successful leading large software development teams with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have HTML, JavaScript, Java, React experience with Micro services architecture.
  • Understand mission critical software applications and systems supporting media workflows and technologies.
  • Serve as an influencer people across the organization and driver of process that delivers the best outcomes
  • Have leadership characteristics with a history of inspiring and motivating people to a common purpose at all levels within a company, developing teams and being a mentor
  • Be successful implementing enterprise scale mobile apps using React Native, Redux, and other related technologies
  • Provide Expertise in Java, SQL, UNIX/Linux, NoSQL technologies, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 
  • Experience with client-side web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JS, Ajax, etc.) & integrating with REST/SOAP APIs 
  • Experience with Flash, HTML5, interactive media, iOS, Android, OTT design & app development from initial design through application launch 
  • Provide strong leadership capabilities – a proven track record of leading diverse teams into new areas
  • Embrace and work with the Agile methodologies
  • Have solid analytical problem solving and decision-making skills with a true understanding of the impact to all parts of the business and being open to in and out of the box solutions
  • Have knowledge and/or hands on experience within the cloud-based platforms, cybersecurity and audience data and analytics
  • Work with the understanding of the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives
  • Domain knowledge – Deep insight into customer behavior and translating it to a multichannel world
  • Serve as a champion of process, tools and capability development – introducing new ways of working across physical and digital media
  • Success in team skill development, technology enhancement, template development and process improvement
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

 

Bonus Points For:

  • Restaurant / Hospitality / Retail industry experience
  • MBA/MIS preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
