VP, Digital Technology & Data

The VP, Digital Technology will be the strategic visionary responsible for building the state-of-the-art technology for our Omni-channel efforts across the company, bringing the highest level of digital solutions to all store and customer interactions.   We are looking for a champion that has excelled in high-traffic, content-rich websites and applications by harnessing tech and the power of the teams that makes them successful. 

What You’ll Do:

• Manage a talented team of software engineers, systems architects, analysts, and scrum masters to bring technology to life.
• Work with stakeholders from the business and product teams to ensure vision comes to life while providing world class, high functioning digital experience for our customers and company
• Translate business goals into technical strategy, roadmap and budgets that execute vision on time and budget
• Act as a talent magnet to attract, retain and develop a high-performance team that is focused on continuous learning and improvement; owning the staffing, head-count planning, functional skill mix, expertise, and process.
• Be the strategic visionary responsible for building the state-of-the-art technology for our Omni-channel efforts across the company and bringing the highest level of digital solutions
• Champion a high-traffic, content-rich websites sites and applications by harnessing tech and the power of the teams that makes them successful
• Build a culture that motivates and energizes the best engineers and encourages the career development of junior team members
• Be a steward of continuous integration and development of methodologies
• Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
• Seek to identify and address technology goals needing process improvement and ensure that the team is supported by their supervisor to execute effectively
• Utilize tools such as problem reframing, alignment, and idea generation to search for superior technology solutions

The Qualifications:

• 10 + years of leadership experience managing and leading teams of software engineers delivering functional specifications and technology design
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Successful background with inhouse development, vendor resources, and budget
• Have HTML, JavaScript, Java, React experience with Micro services architecture
• Understand critical software applications, systems supporting media workflows, and technologies
• Implement enterprise mobile apps using React Native, Redux, and more
• Experience with Java, CSS, JS, Ajax, SQL, NoSQL technologies, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
•  Integrating client-side web technologies with REST/SOAP APIs, Flash, and interactive media
• Application development from initial design through application launch with iOS, Android, OTT
• Provide a proven track record of leading diverse teams into new areas
• Have solid analytical problem solving and decision-making skills understanding the impact on the business
• Work with the understanding of the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives
• Experience insight into customer behavior and translating it to a multichannel world
• Success in team skill development, technology enhancement, and template development

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
• Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
• For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
• Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
