The position we are brewing: eCommerce Manager, Beyond The Café

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® has an opening for an eCommerce Manager, Beyond The Café. The role will own the customer relationship as well as the implementation of integrated sales strategies to achieve aggressive growth expectations for the CBTL products on eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Walmart.com, CTBL website, etc.). This position is responsible for driving weekly sales growth and YOY in the Company’s digital channels. 

 

The eCommerce Manager, Beyond The Café, will be a remote position based in Southern California that will occasionally need to go into the Americas Support Center Home Office in Los Angeles. This role will report directly to the Head of Sales, Beyond The Café.

What you will Measure and Blend (Responsibilities):

  • Manage the entire CBTL E-Commerce Site/Brand and Digital Channels for Sales growth in coordination with the Marketing team to ensure the brand vision is consistent with the organization
  • Manage customer site metrics, account for all site analytics, and manage all customer abandonment rates to strive for improvement
  • Manage re-targeting initiatives, site click-through management, click and conversion rate management, and CBTL Affiliate programs
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team and attend weekly marketing meetings to manage strategic annual marketing calendar
  • Manage end-to-end E-Commerce CBTL Business and ensure CBTL site assortment is accurate
  • Manage existing suite of items, including bag coffee, powders, appliances, site gift cards
  • Create a promotion Calendar, 3rd party fulfillment center, and direct link to CBTL call center regarding customer service inquiries
  • Manage item sales performance; Build new items and coordinate all new item builds with the organization
  • Manage all aspects of profitability within specialty sales including channel, customer product, and cash conversion
  • Manage specific customer P/L statements to ensure profitability
  • Report Site performance issues and follow through with corrective measures
  • Manage all outside E-Commerce Site brokers
  • Maintain Vendor relationships including contract management and contract negotiations
  • Understand of all suppliers and vendors contributing to the E-Commerce platform/business
  • Manage E-Commerce 3rd Party Channels (Amazon FBA, Walmart.com, etc.)
  • Coordinate various channel strategies and marketing techniques
  • Manage all inventory pricing and promotions, including Amazon
  • Support and manage content on all grocery and 3rd party sites (Target.com, Kroger.com, etc.)

Your Ingredients (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
  • Minimum 5-10 years of previous experience in eCommerce sales
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills; Heavy focus and direct coordination with the Marketing department
  • Strong ability to think strategically, creatively, and act tactically when required
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from start to finish and work with several cross-functional departments
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Location: Remote in Southern California, occasionally in-office
