Brew Crew Opportunity

Our Global Brew Crew is seeking a Head of Americas to spearhead our ambitious growth journey across the Americas. This role is perfect for an entrepreneurial leader with a deep background in franchise development, committed to driving expansion through innovative franchising and business development initiatives.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, you’ll report directly to the Global CEO and oversee the financial and operational performance of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Americas. Your primary focus will be on maximizing profitability and executing strategic market expansions, with franchise development at the core—building and nurturing new franchise relationships.

You’ll lead an executive team spanning Finance, Operations, Marketing, and other key functions to achieve these objectives while ensuring operational excellence and enhancing our brand’s regional presence. As a vital member of the Global Brew Crew Leadership Team, you’ll help shape our overall business strategy, drive impactful execution, and foster a high-performance culture.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your franchise development expertise and establish The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as the franchisor of choice across the Americas and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

·       Strategic Leadership and Vision: Provide overarching strategic leadership for CBTL Americas, steering the business towards growth and market leadership with a strong emphasis on expanding franchise and business development opportunities.

·       People, Organization & Culture: Embody our FROTH values and lead the development of a high-performing, innovative culture that drives growth and establishes us as the franchisor of choice.

·       Franchise Development and Growth: Direct the Business Development Team to craft and implement strategies that unlock franchise café growth, leading the expansion agenda across the Americas.

·       Operational Excellence: Develop and execute operations strategies to drive performance in sales, profit, customer satisfaction, and adherence to brand standards.

·       Brand Leadership: Ensure successful execution of CBTL’s Brand Strategy across all areas—Product, Service, Assets, People, Communications—to keep the brand relevant, drive growth, and enhance customer and employee experience.

·       Financial Management: Oversee the financial health of the company, managing budgets, investments, and achieving financial targets for revenue and profit.

·       Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a cross-functional executive team across HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and other key areas to ensure cohesive strategy execution and alignment with corporate objectives.

Your Competencies

·       Growth Mindset - You are a lifelong learner, approaching challenges as opportunities for growth, and consistently seek out feedback and new experiences to expand your knowledge and skills

·       Ultimate Accountability - You take ownership of outcomes, set and achieve goals, seek feedback, and foster a culture of positive accountability. Your proactive attitude inspires excellence in others.

·       Leading Innovation - You cultivate an environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and learning, empowering individuals and teams to take calculated risks and pursue innovative ideas to drive our business forward

·       Resilience - You navigate adversity with determination, prioritize well-being through boundaries, and inspire others to do the same, fostering a thriving organizational culture.

·       Building Trust & Influence - You promote and demonstrate transparency, aligning vision with action, engaging stakeholders, fostering collaboration, demonstrating authenticity, and inspiring confidence in organizational success.

·       Communicate & Inspire - You are a visionary who possesses exceptional communication skills that enable you to craft compelling messages tailored to diverse global audiences. Your clear, concise, and impactful language inspires action, driving progress towards company goals while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

·       Strategic Thinking - You possess a strategic mindset, utilizing your in-depth business knowledge to make informed decisions that drive organizational success through the development and execution of data-driven strategies.

Your Ingredients

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.

·       Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in retail/food & beverage within a multi-unit, multi-state organization, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles focused on franchise development in multi-site retail environments.

·       Proven track record in franchising: A franchising guru with a successful history of leading franchise sales, development, and expansion both across the U.S. and internationally.

·       Strategic and tactical expertise: Hands-on executive with the ability to work both strategically and tactically, driving business growth and effectively managing teams through franchise-focused change and expansion.
