Business Systems & Technology Lead
Dreamlab is seeking an experienced Business Systems & Technology Lead to help build and scale the technology, systems, and operational infrastructure of a growing international group of businesses.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving business problems through technology, enabling teams to work more effectively, and introducing practical automation and AI-driven workflows. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to management and operating teams across the group.
Key Responsibilities
Own and continuously improve the group’s technology stack, software platforms, collaboration tools, cloud services, storage, and user management.
Evaluate, implement, and optimise systems that improve operational efficiency across the business.
Partner with leadership teams to identify opportunities where technology, automation, and AI can create meaningful business value.
Support portfolio companies with technology selection, implementation, systems troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
Drive adoption of modern tools and workflows that enable teams to move faster and make better decisions.
Act as the primary point of contact for technology vendors and service providers.
Maintain sensible security, backup, and business continuity practices appropriate to a growing entrepreneurial organisation.
Develop clear documentation and scalable processes that reduce operational friction as the group grows.
Candidate Profile
10+ years of hands-on experience supporting technology and business systems within high-growth organisations.
Experience operating as the sole or lead technology resource across multiple companies, jurisdictions, and business functions.
Strong understanding of modern SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, collaboration tools, identity management, and business operations.
Demonstrated ability to balance pragmatism and best practice, implementing solutions that are fit for purpose rather than overly complex.
Up to date on modern AI tools and capable of identifying practical applications that improve productivity and decision-making.
Commercially minded, highly responsive, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across leadership, finance, operations, legal, and commercial teams.
Desirable Experience
Systems integration across finance, HR, legal, CRM, project management, and operational platforms.
Experience implementing workflow automation and low-code/no-code solutions.
Exposure to multi-entity, international organisations with distributed teams.
Experience supporting M&A integration, system consolidation, or rapid organisational growth.
Success looks like: a business that operates faster, with better information, fewer manual processes, stronger technology foundations, and practical use of AI and automation across the group.
