Description
Boparan Restaurant Group is a collection of iconic restaurant brands, spanning Fine Dining, Casual Dining and QSR. You will be working across all group brands covering GBK, Carluccios, Slim Chickens, Giraffe, Ed’s Easy Diner, Cinnamon Collection and Fishworks. Your role will be as diverse as our restaurant portfolio – you will be responsible for the Technical function but also contribute to Menu Development, Health and Safety, and Purchasing whenever needed. The team is a small, dynamic team, looking for someone with high energy and a can-do attitude. Attention to detail and a passion for the industry is a must.
You will report to the Head of Purchasing, working in the Commercial team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage product technical data, ensuring allergen and nutritional data is accurate and up to date, this requires data administration
• Implement new allergy systems as required
• Manage point of sale allergen control
• Manage product specification, quality and complaints across food and non-food
• Be the point of contact for suppliers for anything technical related
• Attend product development meetings, working with the Brand teams and executive chefs to develop and execute new menus and product changes effectively
• Ensure menu descriptors and public facing comms are accurate
• Work towards improving industry ratings, e.g. SRA, MSC, through influencing menu development and supply chain decisions
• Develop new processes and policies, taking learnings from industry competitors
• Attend supplier meetings, manufacturing sites, and trade shows
• Regular visits to our restaurants to test products and ensure food quality standards are met
• Support our global franchisees on food product standards
• You will be the “food due diligence” owner for the company

Essential Skills and Experience

- Related degree in food science or technology / nutrition
- Experience with multi-brand hospitality operators
- Experience with product data systems, dealing with suppliers and food safety
- Attention to detail and ability to work well in a high paced environment
