Job description
We recently opened Chelas Hospitality, a Peruvian
Restaurant and Bar.
With our new restaurant we want to make a statement. The Chelas experience is about authenticity, friends, family and backed up by delicious food. We will immediately attract customers as they come up Broadway with a fresh new exterior. Customers will be intrigued from the moment they walk in, being visually drawn into the space by texture, color and light that come together to create an environment that is upscale, but comfortable. This space should be true to its Peruvian roots. We will be bold but sophisticated. Vibrant and warm, and welcoming to all members of the community including families, young professionals, visitors and many more.
Chelas is focusing on Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken while still incorporating the vibe of Washington Heights. We plan to cater to the hospitals and schools for lunch service and the community for dinner and cocktails. We will have emphasis on hospitality and creating a warm and welcoming environment for all in the community.We
are looking to hire a Manager who shares the same values as we do that
can propel us from a concept to a successful business. We are a family
and create loyalty within our staff. We believe in leading by example
and working together as a team.
As a manager we expect you to have the following qualifications:
- Inventory (food & liquor) costs
- Payroll
- Hiring and training staff
- End of shift reporting
- Purchasing Beverage and/or Managing the purchasing (Chef & Bar Manager)
- Team Leader
- Extensive knowledge of spirits and beer
- Knowledge of Peruvian food a plus but not required
- Knowledge of POS System
- At least 5 years experience
- Relationship with vendors/distributors
- Creating the best experience for customers
