Marketing Manager - Food and Beverage


Description

City Winery strives to deliver the highest-end combined culinary and cultural experience to our customers who are passionate in sharing wine, music, and culinary arts. We are a unique facility, combining a fully functioning winery with intimate concerts, food & wine classes, private events in a variety of configurations, and fine dining. We have created a compelling mix for our sophisticated clientele of foodies, and active cultural patrons—bringing the wine country experience to the middle of a large city.

The Food and Beverage Marketing Manager is responsible for promoting and developing widespread awareness of the City Winery brand.  This position works closely with internal departments to communicate and market City Winery’s culinary, beverage, wine, and private events.  They will manage the promotional strategy to drive culinary and beverage revenue as well as any other activations.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years food and beverage marketing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years marketing management experience.
  • High integrity work ethic and a strong passion for music, hospitality, food, and wine.
  • Strong media relations experience.
  • Ability to successfully multitask and manage several projects at once in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Creative and innovative thinker who can cross collaborate across departments.
  • Strong artistic eye and brand development experience.
  • Professional and effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Mail Chimp, Google Suite, Sprout Social, and social media advertising.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field preferred.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue by exceptional marketing designed to drive top line revenue and managed costs.
  • Manage promotional strategy to drive food and beverage revenue.
  • Create, print, and consistently refresh effective and cost-efficient beverage and culinary marketing collateral in conjunction with graphics department: Posters, Postcards, Flyers, Retail Displays, Signage, Slideshows and any other needed materials.
  • Keep current with local events, activities, initiatives, travel and tourism, local event calendars, etc.
  • Work with the Private Events/Food & Beverage teams to promote retail wine, wine club, winemaking, wine dinners, tours, restaurant promotions and experiential events.
  • Manage and maintain menus – including food and beverage photo and video shoots.
  • Monitor daily sales reports and reservations.
  • Work in tandem with other marketing teams to ensure cohesion.
  • Serve as brand ambassador for City Winery.
  • Ensure all initiatives are in line with brand standards.
  • Promote both public activations and private event promotions in weekly email to CW database.
  • Coordinate with programming and box office, events, restaurant, and wine departments on upcoming announcements.
  • Work with graphic design on digital marketing creative, assemble Mailchimp emails, obtain approvals, and schedule weekly promotional emails.
  • Promote and advertise for any and all revenue streams – including but not limited to restaurant, wine, private events, public events, beverage, etc.
  • Maintain the customer email database. Explore new avenues to capture customer data and grow our existing database, and work across departments to develop audience retention loyalty activities.
  • Manage social media content calendar and posting schedules for all departments; and compile a monthly data report.
  • Maintain up-to-date media databases with targeted media outlet lists.
  • Compile all reviews (e.g., Google, Yelp, Trip Advisor, etc.) and alert internally for prompt responses.
  • Collaborate with all departments on content and keep all City Winery information current and active on the website.
  • Ensure clear internal communication across all departments; collaborate and meet regularly with the NY operational teams.
  • Additional projects, tasks, duties as per business needs.

This is a full time benefits-eligible position.
