Position Summary
City Winery is seeking a creative, highly organized, and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead local marketing for our New York City flagship at Pier 57.
Working alongside the Director of Marketing, as well as the national marketing team, this highly visible, hands-on role will drive awareness, audience growth, customer engagement, and revenue across live entertainment, hospitality and dining, wine and membership, and private events.
The Marketing Manager will develop and execute campaigns and partnerships that drive concert ticket sales, restaurant traffic and reservations, wine and membership engagement, private event leads, and overall visitation to Pier 57.

Overview of Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute integrated local marketing plans that drive ticket sales, restaurant reservations and traffic, wine and membership engagement, private event leads, and overall revenue.
Build 360-degree campaigns across email, social media, digital advertising, partnerships, PR, radio, print, grassroots promotion, tourism channels, and in-venue marketing.
Maintain a comprehensive Pier 57 marketing calendar encompassing concerts, dining, wine programming, private events, partnerships, holidays, activations, and promotions.
Identify opportunities to cross-promote the full Pier 57 experience and increase engagement across multiple areas of the business.
Monitor ticket sales, reservations, customer behavior, campaign performance, and other key metrics and adjust marketing activity accordingly.
Entertainment & Audience Development
Develop targeted campaigns for concerts and ticketed programming in partnership with Programming and the national Marketing team.
Identify artist-specific audiences, affinity groups, cultural organizations, media partners, and communities that can expand reach and drive ticket sales.
Develop creative strategies for priority and underperforming shows using sales trends and audience insights.
Build awareness of City Winery as one of New York’s premier destinations for intimate live music and artist experiences.
Ensure strong visibility for programming across relevant media, event calendars, tourism organizations, cultural partners, and discovery platforms.
Hospitality, Wine, Membership & Private Events
Position Pier 57 as a destination in its own right, creating compelling reasons to visit whether or not guests are attending a concert.
Partner with Food & Beverage, Operations, Wine, and Membership teams to promote dining, seasonal menus, waterfront experiences, brunch, wine tastings and dinners, retail wine, Vinofile membership, and other special programming.
Develop marketing strategies for Pier 57’s distinct concepts and experiences while keeping them connected to the broader City Winery brand.
Target key NYC audiences including local residents, office communities, tourists, hotel guests, convention visitors, corporate groups, and event planners.
Partner closely with the Private Events team to generate awareness and qualified leads for corporate events, weddings, celebrations, nonprofit events, meetings, and other private experiences.
Leverage Pier 57’s waterfront location, entertainment programming, food and wine offerings, and multiple event spaces to differentiate City Winery within New York’s competitive hospitality and private events market.
Digital, Email, Social & Content
Partner with the Digital Marketing team on targeted email campaigns, audience segmentation, database growth, customer acquisition and retention, and paid media.
Manage Pier 57’s local social presence and develop compelling, locally relevant content across key platforms.
Capture and coordinate high-quality photo and video content showcasing artists, concerts, food, wine, waterfront views, private events, and the overall Pier 57 experience.
Identify timely opportunities for social storytelling that connect City Winery to what is happening throughout New York City.
Ensure Pier 57 website content, listings, menus, promotional materials, signage, sales collateral, and customer-facing communications are current, compelling, and brand-consistent.
Develop briefs and work closely with Creative Services on campaigns and marketing assets.
Use performance data and customer insights to continually improve marketing effectiveness and conversion.
Partnerships, PR & Community Engagement
Build relationships with NYC businesses, cultural organizations, hotels and concierges, tourism organizations, corporate partners, neighborhood organizations, media, influencers, creators, and community groups.
Develop strategic partnerships and promotional opportunities that introduce City Winery to new audiences and generate measurable business value.
Work with City Winery’s PR resources to identify compelling local stories and media opportunities around artists, culinary experiences, wine, hospitality, partnerships, and special events.
Identify opportunities for City Winery and Pier 57 to participate in relevant NYC festivals, tourism programs, neighborhood activations, and citywide events.
Help ensure Pier 57 remains connected to the cultural conversation of New York City.
Collaboration & Market Intelligence
Work closely with the General Manager, Programming, Digital Marketing, Creative Services, Private Events, Food & Beverage, Wine, Membership, Box Office, and Operations to align marketing with business priorities.
Maintain clear communication across departments regarding campaigns, promotions, events, partnerships, and key initiatives.
Stay deeply informed about New York City’s entertainment, restaurant, hospitality, tourism, nightlife, and cultural landscape.
Monitor competitors, emerging trends, neighborhood activity, audience behavior, and new partnership opportunities.
Serve as an enthusiastic and highly visible ambassador for City Winery and Pier 57 throughout New York City.
Minimum Qualifications
3–5+ years of marketing experience, ideally within live entertainment, hospitality, restaurants, cultural organizations, lifestyle brands, tourism, or experiential businesses.
Strong knowledge of New York City and its music, cultural, hospitality, restaurant, media, tourism, and nightlife landscape.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, email, social media, audience segmentation, paid media, content strategy, and campaign analytics.
Ability to interpret ticket sales, customer behavior, reservations, and marketing performance data and translate insights into action.
Experience developing partnerships and relationships with businesses, cultural organizations, media, influencers, creators, and other external stakeholders.
Strong writing, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
Strong visual and creative sensibility with an understanding of compelling hospitality and lifestyle content.
Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency with marketing and project management platforms; experience with email marketing platforms, Google Workspace, Asana, social media management tools, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends around concerts, events, activations, and business needs.
